Thorne South railway station is one of two stations serving the ex mining town of Thorne in South Yorkshire, England. The station is 9.75 miles (16 km) north of Doncaster on the Doncaster to Cleethorpes line and unstaffed and has only two brick shelters on the platforms. The other station in the town is Thorne North for trains towards Hull.

Service

Monday to Saturday daytimes an hourly service from Sheffield and Doncaster to Scunthorpe calls at Thorne South. There is no Sunday service.

In February 2013 the line northeast of Hatfield and Stainforth station towards Thorne was blocked by the Hatfield Colliery landslip, with all services over the section halted. The line reopened in July 2013.
