Thomas Zaslavsky
Thomas Zaslavsky (born 1945) from Manhattan has been a professor of mathematics at the Binghamton University, New York since 1985. He has published papers in combinatorial mathematics, algebra and analysis. His work in combinatorics include hyperplane arrangement, matroid theory, graph theory, coding theory, lattice point counting, and Sperner theory.
Zaslavsky's mother Claudia Zaslavsky was a high school mathematics teacher at New York; his father Sam Zaslavsky from Manhattan was an electrical engineer. Thomas Zaslavsky graduated from City College of New York and received a Ph.D. in mathematics from M.I.T. in 1974.
