Thomas Nugent (travel writer)
Thomas Nugent (ca. 1700 - 1772) was an Anglo-Irish gentleman travel writer and antiquary. He travelled across North Germany in 1766. His travelogue was published in two volumes in the form of letters to an imaginary friend.
