Thomas Alexander Johnson (19 June 1835 - 28 October 1914) was a Businessman and member of the Queensland Legislative Council.[1]
Johnson was born at Enniskillen, County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1835 to Edward Johnson.[1] He arrived in Warwick, Queensland with his wife around 1861 and opened a General store.[2] In 1879, he was elected as an alderman of the Warwick Council, serving for nineteen years which included being mayor from 1881-1884. He was also President of the Warwick Progress Association and Vice-president of the East Downs Agricultural and Pastoral Association.[1]
In May 1904, he was appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council, and remained a member till his death ten years later.[1]
Johnson was married to Kate Agnes Wilson and together they had five children.[1] He died in Warwick in October, 1914.[2]
