Thogummi is geographically located on banks of mighty Godavari river, but people stay 1 kilometer inside from the banks. It is 4 km from Kovvur downtown or 8 km from Rajahmundry.

To reach this village by train, one can detrain at either Kovvur or Rajahmundry. We should reach to this village only by road from either of these towns. The nearest airport is in Madurapudi in the outskirts of Rajahmundry.
