This Is Niecy is the 1976 debut album by American singer Deniece Williams. Released by Columbia Records on August 13, 1976, This Is Niecy was produced by Charles Stepney and Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White. This Is Niecy has been certified gold in the United States by the RIAA and silver in the UK by the British Phonographic Industry. [1] [2]

The album went to number 3 and number 33 on the Black and Pop album Charts respectively. The single Free reached number 25 on the US pop singles chart, number 2 on the R&B singles chart and number 1 on the UK singles chart.[4] T

A digitally remastered version of the album was made available in 2005, and it included 1 bonus track which was a shorter version of Free.[5]
