Thermoproteus tenax virus 1 (TTV1) is a bacteriophage capable of infecting cells of the thermophilic archaebacterium Thermoproteus tenax.[1] The virus is an enveloped, rod-shaped particle with a dsDNA-containing core. Its genome is linear and 15.9 thousand base pairs long.[2]
