Theophilus Leigh
Theophilus Leigh D.D. (died 3 January 1785) was an English academic administrator at the University of Oxford.
Leigh was elected Master (head) of Balliol College, Oxford on 12 May 1726, a post he held until his death in 1785.[1] He was from outside the College and a nephew of the College's Visitor, yet he did not cause the College to fall into decline. During his tenure as Master of Balliol he was also Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University from 1738 until 1741.[2][3]
