Theodore Conkey

Theodore Conkey was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate and the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Conkey was born on December 11, 1819 in Canton, New York.[1] He moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1841. During the American Civil War, Conkey served with the 3rd Wisconsin Volunteer Cavalry Regiment of the Union Army, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel.

An Episcopalian, Conkey married Cynthia F. Foote in June 1848. They would have four children.

Political career

Conkey was a member of the Senate from 1851 to 1852 and of the Assembly in 1857. He was a Democrat.[2]
