The Water Club is a hotel that is connected to the Borgata and is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

History

The $400 million Water Club was Atlantic City's first boutique-lifestyle hotel when it opened in June 2008. Designed by Los-Angeles based interior architecture firm Laurence Lee Associates the debut of the 43-story Water Club completed Borgata’s master plan development.

Hotel

The hotel's five swimming pools [4] include two outdoor pool;s and one pool at Immersion Spa. Rooms are equipped with Sony 40-inch, LCD flat-panel TVs, 400 thread-count sheets, and large bathrooms with granite countertops.[5][6] It also contains 18,000 square feet (1,700 m2) of meeting space and six retail shops.

Located on the 32nd and 33rd floors, Immersion Spa at The Water Club, is a 36,000-square-foot sanctuary with floor-to-ceiling windows; 180-degree ocean views; a 25-yard infinity-edge lap pool; 16 treatment rooms; an 1,800-square-foot, state-of-the-art fitness center with TechnoGym equipment; and gourmet spa menu by Chef Zakarian.Spa services include massage, facials, reflexology, hair styling, and makeup application.[7]

The hotel also contains 18,000 square feet (1,700 m2) of meeting and event space including two glass-enclosed boardrooms; three additional boardrooms and eight meeting rooms.

As part of an edgy trend in the hotel business, each hotel room offers a package of adult personal care items called "The Passion Kit," which includes condoms and other intimate products. At US$18, the sex kits have been the top-selling in-room item.[8]

The hotel discourages bringing children. Guests must be 21 or older to rent a room, and children are banned from using the hotel's spa and five swimming pools.[8]
