The Unusual Suspects is a wonderful, fascinating story about adventure, crime, and mystery! Living in a secret magical town with fairytale creatures living side by side with humans. Sabrina and Daphne must work together, with the help of their grandmother and their 200 pound Great Dane to solve each injustice that they come to run across. They must face lots of challenges and come in contact with some evil villains, like Rumpelstilskin or The group called The Scarlet Hand.

Ms. Minerva Smirt comes to Ferryport Landing and informs the girls they must go to school, or she will send them to a foster home. Sabrina, Daphne and Puck (who must protect the girls there) go to school, but find that half of the sixth graders are sleepy, cruel and the teachers are insane. One of Sabrina's teachers is murdered and the Grimms are on the case. They finally see a plot to drill under the school to escape the barrier. Charming gives the sisters the Little Match Girl's Matches, which will deliver a person anywhere they desire. Sabrina wishes to go to the place where her parents are kept. She ignores Daphne's concern for consequences and goes to a dark place where her parents are. She finds a huge monster that breathes fire called the jabberwocky and a little, twisted insane girl in a red cloak. The rest of the story continues in the third book, The Problem Child.
