The Sunday Footy Show is a weekly football-focused panel show broadcast on the Nine Network in Australia. It is hosted by Peter Sterling and a variety of panelists including Mario Fenech, Phil Gould and a variety of NRL players. The show discusses the results of the weekend's matches so far and includes interviews with players. There is also a segment called 'Around the Grounds' which is presented by Tim Gilbert and discusses the rest of the weekend's game and injury wrap-up. There is also a 'League of League' segment showcasing previous greats of the NRL. At the end of the programme, there is a 'Brut Big Hits' segment showing three of the biggest hits in the previous round.

Immediately after the Sunday Footy Show, The Sunday Roast airs, on which the less serious Footy Show boys go through all of the funniest footy moments of the week.

The Sunday Footy Show is filmed on the same set as the Today Show.

History and Synopsis

The Sunday Footy Show is hosted by Peter Sterling, Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler, along with regular panellist Erin Molan. The show also includes "The Sunday Roast" hosted by Tim Gilbert.

In all AFL dominated states other than South Australia, The Sunday Footy Show is shown on delay at 2 p.m. on GEM which is immediately followed at 4 p.m. by Nine's broadcast of Sunday afternoon football (the telecast into SA was controversially cancelled in early 2014). Before 2013, The Sunday Footy Show was not broadcast into the AFL dominated states.
