The Settlers Online (known as The Settlers Online: Castle Empire in USA) is a freemium, online browser-based version similar to the original game.[1] In it you have to build a city, defeat Bandit Camps and complete quests to earn XP and level up. As you level up, you can unlock different new buildings, mines and soldiers. To defeat Bandit Camps you need to build a barracks, in which you can train soldiers. You will start off with Recruits, and end with Elite Soldiers. Also you can complete adventures, in which you will need to fight Bandit camps or find resources.
