The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion is a 2012 social psychology book by Jonathan Haidt. In it, Haidt describes human morality as it relates to politics and religion.[1] Haidt attempts to reach common ground between liberals and conservatives. Haidt argues that people are too quick to denigrate the other sides point of view without fully considering their point of view. Haidt himself acknowledges that, where once he was a partisan liberal, now he is more open to both points of view. [2]
Reception
The book received positive reviews[3] and was a New York Times' best seller.[4]
