The Prince is a 2014 American gangster thriller film directed by Brian A. Miller. It stars Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, and Rain. The film received a VOD (video on demand) and theatrical release on August 22, 2014, by Lionsgate.[2]
Plot
A retired New Orleans crime boss and widowed father (Patric) is forced to team up with his best friend (Cusack) to return to the crime world when his daughter (Gia Mantegna) is kidnapped by an old rival (Willis), who has cultivated a fervent hatred for him, after he accidentally killed his wife and daughter.[3]

Production
Filming took place in Mobile, Alabama in and around The Battle House Hotel and the adjoining RSA Battle House Tower. Bruce Willis completed his scenes on December 3rd, 2013, followed by Rain and Jason Patric who completed their initial scenes on December 6th.[5][6]
Critical response
The film has been met with negative reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a rating of 0% based on 9 reviews.[7] On Metacritic, the film has a score of 17 out of 100, based on 6 critics, indicating "overwhelming dislike".[8] The film holds a 4.5/10 IMDb rating. [9]
