The Philosophy of Time Travel is the debut album from Canadian hard rock band Theset, released in 2005.
The album contains many references to the 2001 film Donnie Darko in both lyrics and song titles; the album itself is named in allusion to The Philosophy of Time Travel book that features in the film's plot. Theset's music also references other fiction, such as the song "Sunshine Dust", which relates to Episode 2 of the animated web series Salad Fingers.
A music video was created for the single "12:34" by director Colin Minihan.
