The Penetrators are an American Protopunk/Garage Rock band from Syracuse, New York, formed in 1976. They have a history of releasing vinyl 12 inch albums, vinyl 7 inch records,[1] and digital musical CD's on the following notable indie labels: RaveUp (of Rome, Italy), Swami, Slovenly, and Windian (in order of chronological release). Their debut 45 RPM record "Gotta Have Her / Baby Don'tcha Tell Me" was self released in 1979 and was followed shortly thereafter by three other 45 RPM and EP releases on their own FRED Records record label.[2][3][4]
History
The Penetrators were founded by lead singer Jack Lipton and Eliot (Spike) Kagan in Syracuse, New York in August, 1976.[5]
