The Peach Music Festival is a music festival started by The Allman Brothers Band and Live Nation Entertainment that has been held annually since 2012 at the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain and Montage Mountain Ski Resort in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Billed as the first ever Allman Brothers inspired music festival in northeastern Pennsylvania, it has been held each year since 2012 and attracts thousands of people. Festivalgoers are encouraged to shop at the many food and craft vendors on the grounds of the festival and are offered free access to the Montage Mountain Ski Resort, which is transformed into a large water park in the summer months, giving them the opportunity to utilize the park's many water rides and attractions while listening to the musicians performing. Camping and RV Parking is also offered on the grounds. The festival takes place in mid-August over the course of several days, and has different performers, headliners and special events each day.[1]

In a statement released in January of 2014, Gregg Allman stated that The Allman Brothers Band would stop touring at the end of 2014. Allman stated, "This is it—this is the end of it." He went on to say, "45 years is enough and I want to do something else, anyway. Everyone has their own real good respective bands." However, he left the door open to possible reunions down the road: "Who's to say? We may get together every five years and just do one play at a time."[2] No mention was made of the fate of any future iterations of the festival beyond 2014.

Per the official website, the Peach Music Festival dates for 2015 were announced, clearing any doubt as to whether or not the festival will continue after 2014. The 2015 iteration was scheduled to take place from August 13 to August 16, headlined by the Gregg Allman, Santana and Bob Weir.[3]
