The Outs is a 2012 miniseries with seven episodes, produced exclusively for Internet distribution. Filmed and set in Brooklyn, New York, the show tells the story of Mitchell (played by Adam Goldman), his best friend Oona (Sasha Winters), and his ex-boyfriend Jack (Hunter Canning).

Plot

The Outs consists of seven episodes, the last of them was released on April 1, 2013. As noted in the show's June 2012 fundraising campaign, a "Chanukah Special" was released on April 1, 2013.[1]

Cast

Production

The Outs was entirely crowd-funded through two Kickstarter campaigns. The first campaign started after the first episode was complete. The goal was set at $1000 but received $1685.[2] The second campaign started after the first three episodes were released. The goal was set at $8000 but received $22,339 with 503 backers.[3] As a result of the success in fund raising for the show, a special seventh episode was announced.

The Outs is filmed predominantly in the Prospect Heights and Crown Heights areas of Brooklyn, New York, often featuring local businesses.
