The Newtones is a coed student-run a cappella group from Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts.[2]
The Newtones, which is entirely student-run, sing a variety of pop and rap songs. The group consists of 16 Newton South High School students. The group performs within the high school, around the Boston area, and competes at regional competitions.
The group has performed with the likes of Sara Bareilles, their school principal, and recorded for Ben Folds' "University a Cappella" album. More information is on Ben Folds' website.
The Newtones' final concert of the season, known as Acafest, will take place on May 17th, 2013.
