The Museum of Ancient Art is a museum sited in the Sforza Castle of Milan. It is one of the most important collection of late-antiquity, medieval and renaissance sculpture in the north of Italy. The different frescoed rooms of the museum home to the armory, the tapestry room, some funerary monuments, the Rondanini Pietà and also two medieval portals.

The "Sala Verde" (green room in English) display 15th and 16th century sculptures and the collection of arms of Sforza Castle. One of the most important work in the first part of the room is the Portal of Medici Bank (Portale del Banco Mediceo in Italian), a gate removed from Via Bossi. The collection of arms, in the second part of the room, displays sculptures, armour, sword and firearms in chronological sequence from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

The "Sala dell'Asse", designed and frescoed by Leonardo da Vinci called to Milan by Lodovico il Moro, is one of the most notable rooms of the museum and represents the Sforza period of Milan.
