The Lobby
- For the improv comedy group, see The Lobby (improv). For the term as it is used in U.S. politics, see Israel lobby in the United States
The Lobby is the term to collectively describe the political journalists in the United Kingdom Houses of Parliament. The term is derived from the special access they are granted to the Members' Lobby[1]
Currently 'the lobby is composed of 390 journalists of which just 11 are party political appointees. The membership is drawn from large organisations such as the BBC or Sky (News) and smaller, more specialist publications such as the East Anglian Daily Times.
