The Lion & Unicorn Theatre is a studio theatre in Kentish Town, London, England at 42-44 Gaisford Street. The Theatre is known for its varied repertory of classical theatre, commedia dell'arte, dance, contemporary plays and new writing. Artistic Directors have included George Sallis and David Jubb.
The Theatre is home to Giant Olive Theatre Company and the GOlive Dance and Performance festival,[1] curated by veteran arts journalist, Donald Hutera (The Times). The festival was nominated by Graham Watts, Chairman of Critics Circle, as one of the most exciting things to happen on the London dance scene in 2013/2014 for Dance Europe Magazine.
Among the artists who have collaborated, performed or produced in the studio are Ray Shell,[2] Antonia Franceschi, Mark Baldwin, Richard Alston CBE, Jonathan Goddard, Patsy Rodenburg OBE,[3] and Hugh Bonneville.[4]
