The Lawless Breed is a 1953 western film directed by Raoul Walsh and starring Rock Hudson. The film is based on the life of outlaw John Wesley Hardin.

Plot synopsis

Wild West gunslinger and gambler John Wesley Hardin (Rock Hudson) is released from jail. He recounts his exploits outside the law with his manuscript detailing his life. His life as an outlaw influences his son that grew up while Hardin served sixteen years in prison in Huntsville, Texas.
