The Jump returned for a second series on 1 February 2015.[1] The series is once again be hosted by Davina McCall and broadcast live from Austria on Channel 4. On 20 January 2015, it was announced that a new show will air over on sister channel E4 called On the Piste from 2 February, and will be presented by Cherry Healey.[2]

Contestants

The sixteen original celebrities taking part were revealed on 10 December 2014.[3] It was announced that on 13 December 2014 that Ola Jordan had to pull out of the competition due to injury, at the time it was not known whether she would be replaced:[4] however, on 4 January 2015, it was revealed that Chloe Madeley would replace her.[5] On 9 January it was announced that Sally Bercow had to pull out of the competition due to injury,[6] and will be replaced by Jodie Kidd.[7]

Live shows

The series began airing from 1 February 2015 for 8 days, there will be no show on 7 February, until the final on 9 February 2015. During the live ski jump, the celebrities are given the option of three jumps – K15 (small), K24 (medium) or K40 (the largest). The celebrity that jumps the shortest distance is eliminated. For shows three and eight which are broadcast live from Kühtai, a brand new eliminator called the "Air Jump" will be introduced. This is where celebrities jump off a 4 1⁄2 metre kicker and land safely into a giant airbag. The celebrity(ies) that jump the highest will stay in the competition and whoever jumps the lowest will leave.
