The International House of Mojo (shortened to Mixnmojo, The House of Mojo or Mojo) is a website focused on LucasArts video games and games started by companies created by people who left that company, such as Double Fine Productions, Telltale Games, Autumn Moon Entertainment and Crackpot Entertainment. It was founded in 1997 by James Spafford.

A review from The International House of Mojo appeared on the official cover of the UK release of Monkey Island Special Edition Collection,[2] and the website was referenced in the print book Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts.[3]

The site has also been featured in game magazines. PC Gamer (UK) had an article in their August 2000 issue about LucasArts fan games and cease and desist orders from the LucasArts legal department. The article included The International House of Mojo, and featured an interview with Mojo staff member Matt Shaw.[4]

The International House of Mojo is respected by the companies it covers. Double Fine Productions called Mojo their "friendly friends" and praised the staff for their knowledge.[5] Also, Telltale Games lists The International House of Mojo among the "Blogs of [their] Staff and Friends".[6]

Meaning of the Name

"The International House of Mojo" comes from the name of the Voodoo Lady's business in Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.[7] The site's web address comes from the "The Mix 'N' Mojo Voodoo Ingredient Proportion Dial" copy protection mechanism, also from Monkey Island 2.[7]
