The Gospel Coalition, or TGC, is a "fellowship of evangelical churches"[1] founded in 2005 by Christian pastor/theologians D.A. Carson and Tim Keller. It seeks to extend its influence through its website, conferences, publications, and other projects and initiatives.

In addition to Carson and Keller, TGC Council members include such prominent pastors as Danny Akin, Alistair Begg, Bryan Chapell, Mark Dever, Kevin DeYoung, Ligon Duncan, Kent Hughes, Erwin Lutzer, Albert Mohler, Ray Ortlund, Darrin Patrick, John Piper, Philip G. Ryken, and Sam Storms.[2]

Previous Council members include Mark Driscoll, who stepped down in March 2012 as "part of a major reorganization of his priorities",[3] Joshua Harris, who stepped down in March 2014 "in light of the ongoing civil suit against his church",[4] and C.J. Mahaney, who resigned in March 2014 "for a variety of reasons".[5] Tullian Tchividjian maintained a blog at TGC until May 2014, when he was asked to move the blog off of the website because of an ongoing debate over the doctrine of sanctification.[6]
