The Gold Medal Collection is a two-CD compilation of various songs from Harry Chapin's career, released to honor Chapin being posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his humanitarian work and campaigns to end hunger.^[2] Released in 1988, the album also featured recordings of Chapin speaking about various things, such as alleviating hunger, Pete Seeger, his grandfather, and his early music.
