The Glowsticks (TGS) are a Canadian EDM group/production team consisting of Verse-Atile (Osama Hussain), Ricky Basel and Darkace (Charles Sarpong). History

The Glowsticks were formed in Toronto, Canada in 2009. Verse-Atile always had a love for music. He was becoming well known in the Toronto music scene with his single “I’m A Dog” being played on local radio and his work as a producer with local Toronto artists.^[1] Verse-Atile felt like he was missing something and that’s when he was introduced to Darkace. In 2010, The Glowsticks went to work with ^[2] Ben Cristovao, a new artist from Czech Republic executive producing his debut album “Definitely Different”. At the same time, The Glowsticks began working on their EP Mars Landing and were introduced to their manager Latoya Lee, who was working as an A&R for Bu Vision/Konvict Muzik. With her help, they released Mars Landing. The release of Mars Landing gained them a lot of attention in the Toronto music scene, as well as in the Czech Republic, due to their work with Ben.

In 2011, The Glowsticks welcomed the amazing vocals of Ricky Basel, becoming The Glowsticks that the world sees today. With Ricky on board, he brought his manager with him, Collin Adam. Collin and Latoya came together with innovative ideas to bring The Glowsticks to light. With their help, The Glowsticks were not only working on Ben’s second album, Benny Cristo, they also began working with Tina, a R&B/Pop artist signed with EMI, Czech Republic. The Glow Sticks were responsible for producing and writing four songs on Tina's album S.E.X.Y, which was released in early December 2011. The Glowsticks have proven themselves as producers who are capable of developing a sound for the artists they work with. They enter the studio, get to know the artist, and find what fits that artist best. They’ve garnered much attention on the Central European music scene for their work with not only Ben and Tina, but also working with Rytmus, Czech’s biggest rap artist, on his upcoming project.

Due to the signature whisper of the phrase “Glowstick Music” at the beginning of The Glowsticks music, TGS along with their managers decided to name their company Glowstick Music. With the formation of Glowstick Music, Ben Cristovao’s new album will be released under the company, as well as any of The Glowsticks new projects. The Glowsticks have mastered the art of simultaneously working on production for other artists and their own projects. The Glowsticks is an EDM group, who have gained attention from performing throughout Central Europe, in countries including Czech Republic, Georgia, Slovakia, and Poland, just to name a few. In the summer 2012, they had the pleasure of opening for Pitbull and Far East Movement in Czech Republic. With the release of their EP Late Mornings, they’re forming themselves into a force that will be reckoned with in the electro dance world. The video for “Pardon My Swag” was featured on various dance blogs and a lot of views. Their single “Get Gone” has gotten much respect thus far from electro dance fans and will only get more popular with the video release.

The fact that this group is musically influenced with practically every genre possible, gives them the edge and the versatility to create unique music, which has been dubbed Glowstick Music.

With the release of their EP’s Mars Landing in 2011 and Late Mornings summer 2012, they’ve garnered the attention of electro dance music lovers.
