The Girl in the Book is an upcoming American drama film written and directed by Marya Cohn in her directorial debut. The film stars Emily VanCamp and Michael Nyqvist.[1]
Plot
Alice Harvey, a 28 year-old assistant book editor and aspiring writer, goes through a transformation when a person from the past forces her to face memories she's kept hidden inside and make decisions that will ultimately dispel her demons, bringing to light the love and creative voice she sought after many years ago.

Production
Filming began mid-June 2013 in New York City.[1] For post-production, the producers of the film started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the costs. Their goal was set at $65,000 on June 17, 2013, raising $342 more after its July 1 deadline.[2]
