Background

In 2012 ICP announced that they were planning on releasing a box set of the first six Joker Cards. ICP said it may take a while do to it having to be ok with the other labels the albums were released on. In mid 2013 fuse did a inside look at Psychopathic with Violent J and it was seen that there was a green box sitting on the desk, and Violent J talked about it and it was the promo of what the final product would look like. On the back it showed all the 6 Joker Cards and a bonus disc. It was later revealed that the bonus disc was Dog Beats EP, the first release on Psychopathic Records in 1991 by Inner City Posse, right before they became Insane Clown Posse. It had a December 17, 2013 release date, but it was never released, and it was never announced that it wasn't going to be released, and never announced why it wasn't released. In a February 2014 interview with Faygoluvers.net, ICP was asked when The First Six was going to be released, and they both thought it had already been released. They said they would check in on it when they got back. After another short delay in a June 2014 edition of the Hatchet Herald there was a flyer promoting The First Six. The First Six will include all 6 Joker Card albums (Carnival of Carnage, Ringmaster, Riddle Box, The Great Milenko, The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, The Wraith: Shangri-La/The Wraith: Hell's Pit), certification of authorization signed by Violent J & Shaggy 2 Dope, 6 tarot cards, and a brand new 8 song EP titled House of Wax. It wass scheduled for a October 28, 2014 release date.[1] In the October 24, 2014 edition of the Hatchet Herald, it was announced that after a minor delay and setback, The First Six would be released on November 25, 2014.
