The Expandables is a Canadian home renovation television series produced by Tricon Films & Television, which premiered January 8, 2015 on HGTV Canada.[1] The series is also slated to air on DIY Network in the United States.[2]

Hosted by contractor Rob Evans and designer Mia Parres,[3] the series features the duo meeting with homeowners whose living spaces are not meeting their spacial needs. Each of the hosts then comes up with a renovation plan to improve the functionality of the home, which are presented to the homeowners; while awaiting the homeowners' decision about which plan to pursue, Evans and Parres place a friendly wager in which the one whose plan is not chosen will have to perform a task of the winning host's choosing.

After the homeowners make their choice of which plan to pursue, the hosts collaborate to finish the renovation and design work. Following the final reveal of the renovated home, the episode's closing credits roll over footage of the losing host performing the wagered task.
