The Cut is a 2014 German drama film directed by Fatih Akın. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice International Film Festival.[1][2]
The film is based on the Armenian Genocide. A young man by the name of Nazareth Manoogian gets deported from his native village of Mardin. After the deportations, Manoogian learns that his daughters may be alive. He travels to various parts of the world in search for them.[3]
