The Country Girl is a 1915 American short silent romantic comedy-drama film starring Florence La Badie and directed by Frederic Richard Sullivan. The film is based on David Garrick's 18th century play of the same name.[1] Garrick's play was a version of William Wycherley's Restoration-era comedy, The Country Wife, itself based on two works by the French playwright Molière: L'Ecole des Femmes and L'Ecole des Maris.[2][3]
