The Comforts of Madness is the debut studio album from the Pale Saints, released on 4AD in 1990. The album set Ian Masters' dreamy, choirboy-like vocals against dark and slightly experimental noise pop. Released to rave reviews, it remains their most celebrated and well-known album.
