The Carbonaro Effect is an American hidden camera/practical joke reality television series. The show debuted on May 15, 2014, and is currently airing on truTV. The show is hosted by magician Michael Carbonaro, who is also a prankster. He performs baffling tricks on unsuspecting people in everyday situations, all caught on hidden camera. The second season premiered on October 30, 2014, as part of the network's new focus on humor while retaining a reality format. To promote the new season, TBS aired a two-hour marathon on October 30, 2014.[1]
