The Carbon Neutral Company

The CarbonNeutral Company is a world-leading provider of solutions to businesses reducing their environmental impacts. More than 17 years’ experience, they work to source the highest-quality environmental instruments, to meet clients’ rapidly changing requirements.

History

From renewable energy to carbon emissions measurement and offsetting, to water stewardship, building supply chain resilience and protecting biodiversity, they have developed a track record of innovation and quality in the relentless pursuit of solutions that will meet clients’ needs and, in 2014, were recognized as the Best Offset Retailer for the fourth consecutive year, in a survey conducted by Environmental Finance.[1]

Marks and Spencer, a leading UK retailer, has recently worked closely with The CarbonNeutral Company to provide carbon financing to UNICEF's new cookstoves project in Bangladesh, which will deliver not only reduced carbon emission but also significant health benefits, particularly to children.

Together with The CarbonNeutral Company, M&S organized a roundtable in April 2014 – which included a BBQ using cookstoves – with executives from about 15 firms to showcase the Bangladesh project and encourage others to get involved.[2]

The CarbonNeutral Company was founded by Dan Morrell and Sue Welland in 1997.
