The Bogeymen

The Bogeymen was a garage rock band from Angoulême created by lead singer and guitarist Laurent Bauer. The line-up changed frequently around Laurent Bauer, with the except of Yves Le Diraison, who played bass during most of the band's existence. The Bogeymen were primarily influenced by Swedish garage band The Creeps and British medway psych act the Prisoners, with additional influences including The Remains and The Sonics.

The first single "You are on my Mind/Candy" was released on F. F. Fascination records. It was followed by "The Bogeymen... as Live as You Want Them", a live studio recording on Guess Who Records, and "You've Got No Scruples/Let Me Give You my Love/Gimme a Little Sign" on Detour Records. Two albums were released on Dig!! Records, Introducing The Bogeymen and Action Time.

The band broke up in 1996, and Bauer went on to various other projects, including The Lost Minds, Superphonic, Moon Fargo. and Venus Paradise.
