The Blue Rose of Texas is country music artist Holly Dunn's fourth album, and the first with the Warner Bros. Records label. With this album, Holly Dunn achieved her first number 1 Billboard country single, "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me". Another major hit from the album was the number 4 track, "There Goes My Heart Again". Dolly Parton lends supporting vocals on her own "Most of All, Why," and Joe Diffie provides backing vocals on "There Goes My Heart Again."
