The Amazing Nina Simone
The Amazing Nina Simone is an album by Jazz singer/pianist/songwriter Nina Simone. It was her first album for the label Colpix Records, which would quickly be followed by 8 albums on the same label, before signing with Philips Records in 1964. The album very much oozes the atmosphere of cool jazz, in accordance with the image she had on her debut album, Little Girl Blue (1958) for Bethlehem Records. It also has some gospel songs on it, for example "Children Go Where I Send You".
