Thamewali is a town and union council of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[1] It is part of Mianwali Tehsil and is located at 32°47'6N 71°46'49E and has an altitude of 448 m (1473 ft).[2]
Thamewali a most erstwhile and an oldest heritage town, is the union council in Mianwali city, in Pakistan. History of the village goes a long way back to the resides of the caravans of great Muslim worrier Salahuudin Ayubi in his war times. Thamewali has a beautiful scenery with mountains on the west, back side of the village. A great Historical building (castle) at the peak of the mountain, on which village resides, built by Hindus before the foundation of Pakistan about hundred years. This village was a famous and cultural built town of the before Pakistan time, roofed and enjoined by four roads coming out of the village. Graveyards on the four sides of the village, now diminishing, show the endurance of many wars in old times by the village. There is a beautiful montain. A sms service is started in 6 years ago.
