Terry Sue-Patt (born 29 September 1964) is a British actor best known for the role of Benny Green in Grange Hill (BBC, 1978–1982); his character was the first pupil seen on screen in the first episode of the first series that was broadcast. He got the part after being spotted playing football in the local park.
Early and personal life
Terry Sue-Patt was born in Islington to Black African parents and attended the Ecclesbourne Junior School, Sir William Collins Comprehensive School and he also went to the Anna Scher Theatre School. Terry has two sisters called Jassette and Ann-Marie as well as three brothers called Trevor, Michael and George.
Career
Sue-Patt started his acting career with small parts in various Children's Film Foundation productions. He has also made appearances in General Hospital (ATV), Jackanory (BBC), in 1990 he played a gunman in the Channel 4 Desmond's and the BBC Schools programme, Scene (1990s). Terry also played the role of Yusef in Alan Clarke's The Firm (1989).
