Terry Pratchett's Unseen Academicals is a proposed two-part television adaptation of Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett to be produced by The Mob, and due to be broadcast on Sky1 and in high definition on Sky1 HD. Filming was set to take place in 2011.[1]
As of July 2012, it should have been in development.[2] As of June 2013, The Mob reported that it was scheduled for production in 2013.[3] However, as this has disappeared from their website, the status of the project is unknown.
It is to be the fourth in a series of adaptations, following Terry Pratchett's Hogfather, Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic and Terry Pratchett's Going Postal.
Plot
The staff of the Unseen University of Wizardry are forced into playing a game of football, without using magic, in order to secure a large financial endowment. As the local version of the game is so violent, the head of the university—Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully—helps to set up proper rules and forms a university team, which includes the university's orangutan librarian in goal.
