Terri J. Vaughn (born October 16, 1969) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as high school secretary Lovita Alizé Jenkins-Robinson on the WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show and as first-grade teacher Jonelle Abrahams on the UPN/CW sitcom All of Us. She also had a recurring role as the hospital receptionist Renee on the TBS sitcom Meet the Browns.
Biography
She grew up in San Francisco, California. She was married to Derrick Carolina and had a son, Daylen Ali (2001). She is currently married to former football player Karon Riley, and on April 21, 2008 the couple gave birth to a boy, Kal'El Joseph Riley.[1]
Foundation
Vaughn established the non-profit "Take Wings Foundation," which provides scholarships, mentoring and job training opportunities for young women living in public housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Career
Terri has appeared in films like Friday (1995 film) and Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. She also was a regular on the sitcom All of Us. She appeared as a main cast member on Tyler Perry's television sitcom Meet the Browns from 2010-2011.
Awards
From 2001 to 2003, Terri won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role of Lovita Jenkins-Robinson on The Steve Harvey Show.
