Telmo Vargas
General Telmo Oswaldo Vargas Benalcázar (born October 9, 1912)[1][2] was Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ecuador, who overthrew the military junta of Ramón Castro Jijón on 29 March 1966. Clemente Yerovi was appointed president on 30 March. He is currently the oldest living (or at least known to be living) former head of state.
