Teleavia

The Teleavia was an innovative television set designed in France.

Its motto, from 1963, was "TELEAVIA, design also matters".

The French firm Thomson SA got the famous designer Roger Tallon to revolutionize the shape of TV sets. He later said, in explanation of the trademark’s success and longevity: “It was the first time the shape, the function and the material absolutely intertwined”.

Today, TELEAVIA is still an icon with TV models at the MOMA in New York City and in other design museums around the world.
