Teihorangi Walden (born 25 May 1993) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a second five-eighth for Otago in the ITM Cup.[1][2][3]

Career

Walden is originally from New Plymouth and attended Francis Douglas Memorial College there. During this time, he was selected in the Hurricanes schools side alongside future team-mate Jackson Hemopo.[1] He moved south to Dunedin to link up with the Otago Razorbacks ahead of the 2013 ITM Cup season. His appearances were fleeting during that campaign and he made only 1 start, however in 2014 he established himself as a regular with 9 starts and 2 tries in what was a disappointing season overall for Otago.[2] Despite this, his performances saw him named as a member of the Highlanders wider training group for the 2015 Super Rugby season.[4]

International Career

Walden represented New Zealand Under-20 during the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France.[5][6]
