The Tehachapi Police Department is the agency responsible for law enforcement within the City of Tehachapi, California. The headquarters is located at 129 East F Street.[1]

The police department has been started and ended several times throughout the city’s history. Initially created with the founding of the city, it was later disbanded. It was reestablished in 1955 and disbanded a second time.[2] It was reestablished on November 27, 2006, with the swearing in of the Chief of Police, Jeff Kermode.[3]
