Tegal Regency
Tegal Regency is a regency (Indonesian: kabupaten) in the northwestern part of Central Java province in Indonesia. It has an area of 876.10 sq.km, and had a population of 1,394,839 at the 2010 Census;[1] the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) is 1,411,947. Its administrative centre was formerly Tegal city in the northwest corner of the regency, but this city was subsequently administratively separated from the regency, whose administrative centre is now at Slawi, a suburb of the city lying about 20 km south of the city centre and within the regency's boundaries.
