Te cunosc de undeva! (literally "I know you from somewhere!") is the Romanian version of the talent show Your Face Sounds Familiar.[1] The first series premiered on 17 March 2012 and was broadcast by Antena 1 channel in Romania. The show is hosted by Cosmin Seleși and Alina Pușcaș.[2] The judging panel includes Andreea Bălan, Ozana Barabancea, Aurelian Temișan and Andrei Aradits.[3]

Format

The show challenges celebrities to perform as different iconic music artists every week, which are chosen by the show's "Randomiser". They are then judged by the panel of celebrity judges.

Each celebrity becomes transformed into a different singer each week, and performs an iconic song and dance routine associated with that particular singer. The 'randomiser' can choose any older or younger artist available in the machine, even a singer of the opposite sex (except in week one), or a deceased singer, but it picks three out and the contestant then presses the button to 'spin' the 'randomiser' which selects their next singer.

Voting

The contestants are awarded points from the judges (and one another) based on their singing and dance routines. For each public vote 15p is split equally between eight chosen charities.

Judges award their points (up to 12 each, making a possible grand total of 48) to the contestants, while the contestants have 5 points to give to a contestant of their choice. These are known as "Bonus" points and are awarded after all the contestants have performed. The total score of each contestant is counted by summing the points from judges and contestant's voting with the points from the televoting.

Whoever is at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the each show, after the combination of the judges' and public votes, receives a 1000 euros cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice and a further 15,000 euros grand prize for the "series champion" in the final week.

Contestants

A total of 33 participants have competed, 2 of them competed in two seasons, 5[4] of them competed in three seasons[5] and Maria Buză competed four times.[6] Each contestant one will incarnate one star from the music industry during each live show.
